AFCAT 2023 Eligibility Criteria –
On the official website afcat.cdac.in, registration for the AFCAT 2023 Notification test will open on June 1, 2023 at 11 am, and the application deadline is June 30, 2023 at 5 pm. For the AFCAT 2 2023 Exam, the applicant must meet the two requirements listed below:
AFCAT 2023 Notification (Educational Qualification)
Flying branch: A three-year degree in graduate OR a BE/BTech degree with a minimum of 60% from a recognised university, and at least 50% marks in physics and maths at the 10+2 level.
For Ground Duty (Technical)Branch: (Aeronautical engineering (Electronics)(AE(L)) – Minimum 60% grades in maths and physics at the 10+2 level, as well as a degree in engineering or technology from an accredited university are other requirements.
For Ground Duty (Non-Tech): Candidates must have earned at least 60% in their B.Com. class. Candidates for educational positions must have earned a minimum of 60% in their undergraduate degree and a minimum of an MBA, MCA, or M.A./M.Sc. in English, Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Statistics, International Relations, International Studies, Defence Studies, Psychology, Computer Science, IT, Management, Mass Communication, Journalism, or Public Relations.
AFCAT 2023 Notification (Age Limit)
Flying Branch: While the maximum age for the flying branch is 24, there is a minimum age requirement of 20 for candidates. Candidates who currently have a Commercial Pilot Licence granted by the DGCA (India) may have their maximum age restriction relaxed up to 26 years.
Ground Duty (Technical/Non-Technical) Branches: The minimum age requirement for ground duty is 20 years old, while the maximum age is 26 years old.
Note: Candidates who are under 25 years old must be single when the course begins. Additionally ineligible are divorcees (with or without encumbrances) and widows/widowers under the age of 25.

Airforce AFCAT 2023 – Salary
- An allowance of Rs. 56,100 would be paid to cadets in their last year of training.
- Young Air Officers [56100-1,10,700] will get level 10 in the seventh Central Pay Commission’s pay matrix upon successful completion of training.
- Included will also be the 15,500 for military service.
- Flying Branch Salary Rs. 11250 a month.
How To Register for AFCAT 2 2023 Exam ?
